I´m sure there has got to be some internet program that allows for free texting and I´ll try to find it for ya. But until then, stay in touch!

Well that was easy.

I´m not too sure but I think I´ve been up for 2 days now. I flew out of O´Hare yesterday(?) without a hitch. The kids in my group seems really nice and we got to Madrid about 7am Spain-time. It´s only 3pm here now and dinner is at 10pm. I´ve been trying hard to keep myself awake and even went for a run down a main road to try to trick my body. The other students thought I was nuts, but I know I need top reset my clock. I´m off now to find a store with a clock and an alarm and more important: DIET COKE! That´s all I need. I´ll write more later, but know that I´m here safe and sounds and will be in touch! MUCH LOVE!

There she goes again...

Well, I've finally finished up packing and getting my last few errands done before I head off. The past couple of weeks have been a little crazy saying goodbyes, buying supplies, and sorting out everything from bank cards to taxes. But, here I am...again....heading off to O'Hare and 'peacin-out' of this country (is continental ADD a real thing?). Luckily, I learned a ton of travel knowledge from Africa last year so I'm WAY more relaxed this time around. The way I look at it, no matter how much planning you do there is still always going to be "something" that comes up. I'm just going to be ready to go with the flow. The next few days I'll be taking an orientation class at the University of Madrid to get a basic overview of culture, language, etc. I'll be living in the dorms for the first 14 days and after that, I'm getting the boot and need to be in an apartment. I can't wait to find an apartment...in Madrid....in Spanish...in 14 days. Hopefully my park bench will have Wireless Internet to update this thing if I don't find a place fast enough :) I'll still be using my bcurtis@wisc.edu email (or you can add comments to this page). Please keep me updated as to the happenings at home and stay in touch!

Hey Gang!

Soooooo...after sending out e-mail updates from Africa I decided that this would be the best option for the next adventure: Spain. I'm not a huge fan of blogs so I can't promise I'll be the best at updating this thing, but I will try my best. I leave August 29th, 2007 and will be back around the end of June/July 2008 so make sure you check back in over the next year.
