The big news is I got a new job...at Denny's! I quit 2 days later. Now, let me clarify. I have never before quit a job so this was new territory for me. I made a list of things I wanted to do in 2009 and getting a waitress job was one of them. Quitting was not. However, long story short, when the manager told me they wouldn't serve black people I kindly told them I subsiquently would not work there. Easy come easy go...I'm still babysitting, tutoring, and working in the school of ed. office.
Next on the 2009 to-do list...running a half-marathon. I just paid my fee yesterday and start training tomorrow (Fat Tuesday and running just seem like a bad idea!). Anyone up for a race May 24th?!?! COME ON DOWN to Madtown :)
And the BIG news is I got another new job: talk about how everything works out for a reason.... I'm officially the assistant Varsity Softball Coach at Madison West! How cool is that?!?! I am very excited and the season starts in 18 days...not that I'm counting or anything :) The team has a pretty poor record but then again they've never had a Curtis in the program!
Anyways, that's about all the news I've got. No Spring Break plans b/c I don't have a spring break; UW and the Madison School District are on two different schedules. BUT, I am totally enjoying student teaching. My class is awesome and those kids have given me enough stories to last a lifetime.

Freakin' Denny's pisses me off, I've never eaten at one and never will! I will also never eat at Perkins. When I ran out of gas ealier this year they lied to my face and told me they don't have a phone I could use. What I wanted to say is, "Oh yeah, how do people order pies from you?" It's one thing if you don't want me using your phone it's another to lie!
No joke. I am SOOO P.O.-ed at that place. I need money bad....but never that bad! It's amazing some people are still stuck in 1963!
I'm on an all-out boycott of that place now! SPREAD the WORD! Perkins, too! YUCK!
Oh my gosh --I almost gave up on you! I haven't checked this blog for 4 days and look a new post--with an eye popping title! Softball coach --Say I am proud of you! As for Denny's ---C'mon Bailey blow the whistle on them! Turn them in! Seriously! So much news in one blog. E-mail me--I lost your address.
